What is a Kafka customer group?

Consumer group is a multi-threaded or multi-machine consumption from Kafka topics.Use the kafka-consumer-groups.sh to change or reset the offset.

How consumer groups are created in Kafka?

You don't explicitly create consumer groups but instead build consumers which generally belongs to consumer group. Regardless of which technology (Spark, Spring, Flink, ...>
you are utilizing, every Kafka Consumer will have a Consumer Group. The consumer group is configurable for every individual consumer.

Kafka Example

bin/kafka-consumer-groups.sh  --list --bootstrap-server localhost:9092

bin/kafka-consumer-groups.sh --describe --group mygroup --bootstrap-server localhost:9092
To view the groups you have created. This will display all the consumer group names.
 ./kafka-consumer-groups.sh --describe --zookeeper hostname:potnumber  --describe  --group c

What is Kafka Schema Registry?
