Oracle DROP TABLE Statement

Oracle DROP TABLE explanation is utilized to eliminate or erase a table from the Oracle information base.
Syntax

DROP [schema_name].TABLE table_name  
[ CASCADE CONSTRAINTS ]  
[ PURGE ];   

Parameters: schema_name: It indicates the name of the outline that possesses the table. table_name: It indicates the name of the table which you need to eliminate from the Oracle information base.

DROP TABLE Example


DROP TABLE customers;  


This will drop the table named customers.

DROP TABLE Example with PURGE parameter


DROP TABLE customers PURGE  

This statement will drop the table called clients and issue a PURGE so the space related with the clients table is delivered and the clients table isn't put in reuse receptacle. In this way, it is absurd to expect to recuperate that table whenever required.
